Annual Grinding of Tree Limbs & Shrub Brush
Mon. – Friday
April 29 – May 3, 2024
8:30am – 2:30pm

Limbs and shrub trimmings should be left in long lengths.
Stacked lengthwise with all butt ends at one end of the pile.
DO NOT put leaves & yard raking on the pile.

Items are to be brought to curbside or street sides.
Do not leave in gutters.
The Village of Groton may refuse to pick up items not deemed acceptable.
NO CALL BACKS!

Our Village
The Village of Groton, incorporated in 1860, is located in the northeast corner of Tompkins County in the Fingerlakes region of New York State.
Originally, the Village was host to many small industries and was later a home to Smith Corona Typewriter Company from 1909 to 1983. Today there still are a few fine smaller concerns and many of our residents who work in Ithaca and Cortland reside in our Village.
The Village provides fire and police protection, electric, water and sewer utilities and has an active recreation department in conjunction with the Town of Groton. We have a Municipal Pool at Memorial Park that is open to the public during the summer.
We also have an active Community Development program that has provided many opportunities to our residents and businesses.
